Transport to and from schools in Uganda is a very big challenge to both parents and the children.
The Marz foundation offers transport facilities to and from schools in the neighboring communities.
The transport charges are offered at subsidized rates. This initiative is one way of addressing issues related to exposure of the girl child to sexual abuse if left to trek long journeys to school. Most children report to school as early as 06:30 a.m. This means in order for the child to report in time, they should leave home earlier than 06:00a.m.
